ayda McTyson hails from the sunny island of Jamaica, where she has been practising her craft since childhood. In late 2004, she decided to concentrate on her writing after a hiatus lasting many years.
During 2005 and 2006, she sold several articles on the craft of writing, some of which are listed here, and has since challenged herself in the area of fiction writing.
At the close of 2005, she started a young adult novel, which was accepted for publication. The novel - Christine's Odyssey - remains unpublished as the publisher went bankrupt.
More recently, her short stories have been published in Bookends, the literary pages of The Jamaica Observer.
Her second novel Contraband - which combines adventure and romance, is in the editing process, so too is Hardware a romantic suspense story, set on the island of Jamaica.
In the interim, her energy is divided between a follow up novel - Anya's Redemption, and Dissolution - a haunting tale of lust and betrayal.
